2012 Fourth of July festivities will raise money for the Park

posted Jan 31, 2012, 6:13 PM by Cynthia Downing

Park finances are very tight.  So, in addition to continuing our neighborhood tradition, this year’s Fourth of July festivities will raise money for the Park.  Activities for kids will start in the afternoon with a water slide and bounce house.  At about 6:15 p.m., we will serve a complete BBQ tri tip dinner with chili beans, pilaf, salad and garlic bread.  Please bring your favorite salads and side dishes for the neighborhood potluck!  Dinner tickets are $10 per person with all proceeds going to the Park.  Hot dogs, chips, and sodas will be available for $5 per child.  Tickets will be on sale well in advance so we can get am estimated headcount.  Tickets will also be on sale at the Park on the Fourth

The Children’s Patriotic Parade around the Park will be held at 7:15 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded in various categories.

At 7:30 p.m., the cake walk will be held.  If you like to bake, your donation of cakes, pies, cookies, and desserts would be gratefully appreciated.

Fireworks will begin at dark on the basketball court.  Please bring fireworks for everyone to enjoy.
